How Fulfilment Works
The Locals works differently to a traditional warehouse retailer. Every brand on the platform keeps its own stock at its own studio or workspace. When you place an order, we dispatch a courier to collect your items directly from the brand — usually within 24 hours — and deliver them to your door.
This pickup-on-demand model means your pieces come straight from the people who made them, and local brands can sell without shipping bulk stock to a warehouse first.
After You Order
- Your order is confirmed and the brand is notified immediately
- A courier pickup is scheduled with the brand, typically within 24 hours
- The courier collects your items and they head out for delivery
- You receive email updates at every step, plus a tracking code
Multi-Brand Orders
- You can order from several brands in one checkout
- We coordinate a separate courier pickup with each brand
- Items may arrive together or in separate deliveries depending on pickup timing
- One order number tracks everything
Delivery Methods

Same-Day Delivery
- AED 35 delivery fee
- Order before 2PM for delivery the same evening
- Subject to brand pickup availability in your emirate
Standard Delivery
- AED 15 delivery fee
- Delivered within 2–3 business days

- Free of charge

Where We Deliver
We deliver across all 7 UAE Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Ain, and Umm Al Quwain.
Delivery timing can vary slightly by emirate depending on where the brand is based and where your order is heading. Standard delivery estimates already account for this.
Free delivery applies on orders over AED 500.
Order Processing & Timing
Because every order is collected fresh from the brand, processing follows a short, predictable rhythm: order confirmation, courier pickup scheduling, brand handover, then last-mile delivery.
Most orders are picked up from the brand within 24 hours of being placed. Standard deliveries then arrive within 2–3 business days. During sale periods or public holidays, pickups may take slightly longer — your tracking page always shows the current status.
Tracking Your Order
Every order gets a status timeline: Confirmed, Pickup Scheduled, Picked Up, Out for Delivery, and Delivered. You will receive an email whenever your order moves to a new stage.
You can track any order at thelocals.ae/track using your order number and the email you used at checkout — no account needed. If you have an account, your full order history lives under My Orders.
Questions Or Issues
If a delivery is delayed, arrives damaged, or something is missing, contact us at hello@thelocals.ae with your order number and we will resolve it with the brand and courier directly.
